|
|
Hello
Mission: to create a (top)menu which is always active, and to have the selected menuitem displayed below the menu (I cant think of anything else but frames)
Unfortunately coolmenupro isn't very fond of frames. What would be a working solution then?
Besides the menu, companylogo etc is shown at the top.
Any hints?
Best regards |

| Looks like a tab control: one tab is always active, and its contents is visible. Isn't it? If yes then ask jssupport@cooldev.com for a sample. |

You can see it at www.itfa.dk/hd/coolmenu/menu.htm - im sure you understand what is supposed to happen.
Try the Word 'kontakt' (contakt) and select any topic below. It should then be shown in the bottom frame, (which works) but then the menu no longer is active.
any workarounds?
As I see it the coolmenupro is actually very cool - but what if you selct a link from the menu are you then supposed to include the menu in every page? Seems like hard work (c: Regardz |

| Yes, you have to put menu initialization comands into every file. But if all these files contain some SSI directive, or they include some other .js file, then you can put menu initialization into some other - single - place, and this will help a lot of time. Also, it you know Perl or awk and you have telnet access to your hosting (or you have all your files locally and there is some Perl installed on your system), then it is not to hard to write one-line script to insert menu initialization. Finally, there are a lot of editors which allow you to do "search/replace" on many files via a couple of mouse clicks. |
