Greetings.
I use CooljsMenuPro.
I have become concerned with my page load times. If I eliminate CooljsMenuPro from the pages, they load much faster.
Ideally I would like my complete page content to load & display first, then the menu to load and display.
Is there a way to accomplish this?
I have posted samples:
#1. With menu: http://wmuma.com/temp/speedtest/index1.html
#2. Without menu: http://wmuma.com/temp/speedtest/index4.html
Otherwise the two pages are identical.
(oops - sorry, originally posted page 3, s/b page 4 - corrected above)
Thank you very much! |

Please, try the latest version of COOLjsMenu Professional - 2.4.8. It loads much faster. You can get it here:

Thank you.
I have downloaded the latest version but I am a little bit confused about how it invokes.
ie, the statements which "call" it seem to be placed in different spots from the older version. Or at least, CAN be placed in different places. Also, there seems to be an additional one.
Currently (OLD version) I have in the <head> section:
<SCRIPT language=JavaScript src="z/menu/coolmenupro.js"></SCRIPT>
<SCRIPT language=JavaScript src="z/menu/menuitemspro.js"></SCRIPT>
<SCRIPT language=JavaScript>var menu = new COOLjsMenuPRO("MainMenu", MENU);</SCRIPT>
In the <body>, where I want the menu, I have:
<SCRIPT language=JavaScript>menu.initTop();</SCRIPT>
At the very end of the page, just before </body>, I have:
<SCRIPT language=JavaScript>menu.init(); menu.show();</SCRIPT>
Q1. Is the latest version invoked in a different manner?
Q2. Can the latest version be invoked in a more efficient manner?
I realize that the documentation has some guidance re this, but I am asking for clarification, please, as I find it a bit confusing.
Thank you very much! |

| You don't need to call init() any more. Everything else remained as it was. |

Ok, I have implemented a test of v2.4.8 Pro here:
http://wildontario.com/
I am experiencing some differences between this version and my former version.
The menu items are now all centered (prior to this they were left-aligned). I have tried setting "text-align: left;" in the stylesheet file but no change. I did not need to do this previously.
My stylesheet is here:
http://wildontario.com/z/stylesheet.css
My menuitems file is here:
http://wildontario.com/z/menu/menuitemspro.js
The test page is here:
http://wildontario.com/index.html
I also notice that there are slight differentials with heights of the sections of the menu. View the menu to see what I am referring to. Note the slight jagged borders.
Can you please assist me with getting this formatted nicely again? Also, any other suggestions you may have about my menu implementation are most welcome!!
Thank you! |

Indeed there is something strange with the appearance of menu. It looks like incompatibility of this version of COOLjsMenu. Please, wait for the next version. Meantime, you can use one of the previous versions.
Sorry for inconvenience. |

Have you been able to rectify the performance problem in IE with this menu version?
Any assistance you can offer would be much appreciated. |
