As stated, I cant get this to work, i think i;m just stupid.

Please, don't worry. It's not that hard. Your color definition should look like this:

color:{border:"0", shadow:"0", bgON:"", bgOVER:"...", imagebg:"...", oimagebg:".."}, css:{ON:'', OVER:'clsCMOver'}}}

Note this:
border:"0", shadow:"0", bgON:"" and ON:''. These parameters make bgcolor transparent.
And don't forget to write the colors you need instead of '...'.
