Well, that's it really.
For my application I need to do some modifications. For example I need to have +/- buttons on all levels except level 0.
So, does the license allow me to modify the script? The license says:
YOU MAY NOT MODIFY OR DISTRIBUTE REGISTERED VERSION OF THE SOFTWARE.
But with the rest of the terms in mind, I take this to mean that I am not allowed to do both: modify AND distribute. I am allowed to modify for my own purposes as long as I don't distribute the script. Right?
I assume that this implies that I obfuscate the script when I publish my site, so that it's at least difficult to read to my site users in case they manage to download the .js file.
Thanks,

No, you can't nor modify, neither redistribute the script. Best way to change it - to ask me (alx@cooldev.com) to prepare a patch.

You can, but you don't have to. It is up to you. |

Am I missing something? The license agreement states that the sofware may be used in commercial applications, yet the registered version may not be distributed.
How then, are we to distribute the commercial application without distributing the registered version? Or, does the agreement imply that the javascript code as a "standalone" product may not be distributed, but if it is embedded in another application, that's OK?
Any clarifications would be appreciated, thanks.

| Standard and Pro licenses do not allow your to redistribute script. You can use these scripts in any number of your own applications (including commercial), but if you want to sell your application (not online service like your unique site, but rather like CMS module or Shopping Cart module or installable Forum) then you need to purchase some other kind of license. Please contact Mr. Art Berman <art@cooldev.com> to learn more. |

Hi Alex... I've sent three emails to Art concerning an extended license for my company - cc'ed you on the most recent one, sent on April 8th - but have heard nothing back.
The ref number for my current license is 5098181. I really need to get this sorted out. How can we do this? |
